Currie weaves an interesting plot with characters who have paranormal abilities. They travel from the future to try and deter the evil dark forces that wreak havoc in the present.
Lacey, the main character is a normal rebellious sixteen year old that gets placed in a detention center for teens that have committed a felony. She meets up with Tylor who has been sent from the future to convince her she has psychic abilities. The plot becomes more complicated after their escape but Lacey conveniently discovers a new psychic ability to overcome each problem that comes up.
The characters are dream-like, popping in and out of the future to rectify a wrong by any means possible, and thereby hard to connect to. A good read overall.
